Included is a little "generalized" info about the Christian Gnostics..
Gnostic would in fact be the opposite the Greek word Agnostic, but the Church fathers used it as a slander against the various Christians who not only were known to read the authorized or "straight thinking" Bible, but also read alternative, more "eastern" minded, less material based scripture as well.
The "Orthodoxed" collection of scripture, aka The Bible as we know it today, also contains certain phrases that conformed to the "Gnostic" line of thought, and such phrases raised much dispute amongst the "Orthodoxed" Church fathers, which eventually led to a voting committee called The Council of Nicea who settled this dispute once and for all, deciding what was proper for a Christian to think, what books they should read, and how they should interpret them.
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. - Luke 17:20-21
